What constitutes a Waco type event

When I first heard about the WACO story, it was being told with an account of no survivors. For many years that was the dominant story. Last year I came across a new version. There was one survivor. And this survivor seemed to corroborate the Feds version of the story. How convenient.

All I can say is the victors can choose whatever version story they want to tell. This continues to this day. Especially in police shootings. The murdered victim is slandered and made to look like they deserved what they got.

The latest video on the Michael Brown shooting does corroborate that his hands were up in the air when he was murdered by Darren Wilson. And apparently the robbery that the police allege he committed wasn't him. The clothing doesn't match what the robber was wearing.

Ever heard of SWATing? It is the practice of using phone hacking to place a fake phone call threatening the authorities in order to initiate a tactical response on the target of your choice. Every time this happens it is a WACO type of event. The founding fathers warned us of the dangers of a police state. Our founding son warned us that very soon the police would stop responding all together. There have already been several cases in The State of Florida involving the shooting of innocent civilians due to inaccurate intel, and the shooting of officers by citizens standing their ground. Is it retaliation to neutralize a murderer of innocent civilians? Who polices the police? Father Thomas Jefferson, please guide us in these trying times, Amen.

There usually isn't any hacking involved, it's enough to call the police and tell them the target has a hostage and a gun, or something similar. There have been a couple cases of people playing competitive games like Counterstrike and tracking down their opponents and SWATing them. Sore losers, much?

Also, that specific example isn't such a good one to use, as he answered the door holding a gun. It's a bit of a catch-22 situation. If you're a police officer and a suspected murderer opens the door with a gun in hand, do you wait and take the time to verify that he's the right guy and risk being killed or take the shot? Shooting someone non-lethally in the heat of the moment is extremely hard to do. (Granted, if they'd announced themselves, he wouldn't have had the gun. That was a HUGE mistake on their part)
