Inverted pentagram means matter over spirit..."normal" pentagram means spirit over matter.

Overly simplistic. Symbols are polyvarant. It doesn't explain why the RCC uses inverted pentagrams in cathedrals, for example - you miss the overall pattern of the symbols.

All kind of Orders,churches etc. use inverted pentagrams.Even in churches there are inverted pentagrams... Symbols can be created easily. Talisamnic magick is best way to understand how and why and ofc meditation on symbols..

Old religions used the pentagram to represent the five elements. Then Christianity came and made anything related to old faiths associated with the devil, such as goats, violent sex, drinking blood, judging... Sweden is still more Pagan than Christian, so we still have traditions with goat figures (gävlebocken), children consuming blood (blodpudding) and multiple days for drunk orgies (midsommarafton, valborg).
