Maybe you overlooked the Spanish influenza pandemic of 1918, where maybe hundreds of millions of people around the world died from its effects....That particular strain of flu simply went away on its own in less that two years....102 years later, we now have social distancing along with ventilators and oxygen treatment, which is helping to contain the Covid-19 virus, as well as helping people gain a full recovery from the effects of it....Vaccination for that virus will be available imho before the end of this year ..
