Before the Beatles came onto the music scene in the UK, there were a few American vocalists i really enjoyed listening to...Bobby Vee was one of those vocalists and i will start off this thread with one of his songs from 1961...He always produced very "catchy" songs, i hope @Classicalfan626 approves of the pizzicato on the violins :D..

Yes i know the accompanying US video is very cheesy, but this was done in 1962, and thankfully was recorded in colour....The only stuff coming from the UK in 1962 was recorded in Black and White with the groups looking like statues stood there and the vocalist throwing his arms around a bit but still stuck in the same spot on stage :fp: ..

Lead singer Colin Blunstone has one of the most easily recognizable voices on the planet.

Loved the songs he did with the Alan Parsons Project later in the 70's and 80's.

In keeping with the 60's theme here, I will post one on The Random Thread instead.

By the way, Great Thread you have here, TF. :)
