American movies today are not what they used to be. IMO, most of them are crap! (I'm being kind here.) The quality of films has greatly declined. There is too much violence, porn, moronic stuff, poor storylines, etc.

However, there are a lot of good movies out there that maybe you and I never heard of or have been forgotten.

Here's a place to post really GOOD movies. Please indicate what Category they fall into, i.e., Romance, Comedy, Sci-Fi, Foreign, etc.
No pressure to post a list. Post one or more.

PLEASE NO GROSS HORROR, PORNOGRAPHIC, EXTREMELY VIOLENT, STUPID FLICKS, ETC.

Here are some of my all-time favorites...

Jane Eyre (2006 Mini-Series - Toby Stephens & Ruth Wilson)
Ladyhawke (Rutger Hauer & Michelle Pfeiffer)

The Butcher's Wife (Demi Moore)
Sayonara (Classic, Marlon Brando)
Don Juan DeMarco (Johnny Depp, Marlon Brando)
Now & Forever (a 'B' movie, but it has a great plot)

Wow, that list is way too long. You have too many favorite movies, that's not reasonable. LOL

I love Back to the Future more than any other movies out there. I'll start with this one.

My short list. I own over 200 and have watched many hundreds.
1408 by Stephen King
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels w/ Steve Martin, Michael Caine
Life As We Know It w/ "my girl friend" and some guy
Red w/ Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman
The Blind Side w/ Sandra Bullock, Quinton Aaron
All 4 Scary Movies I know they're dumb but they're still funny
300
Man of the House w/ Tommy Lee Jones
Gran Torino w/Clint Eastwood (For me pretty much all Eastwood movies.)
Secondhand Lions w/ Michael Caine, Robert Duvall
Eight Below (you gotta love dogs)
All John Wayne movies. I even like the classics since I grew up watching them. Now I own them.
All the Star Trek movies. Star Trek 4 The Voyage Home most favorite. The newest one, Star Trek, though I had my doubts at first, was excellent.
Time Travel movies While I don't believe it's possible I still like it as good fun sci-fi
Source Code (decent non? Time Travel flick)
The Jacket
The Time Machine (both the 1960 classic and the 2002 remake)
12 Monkeys The ending is classic
Star Trek 4 The Voyage Home
Star Trek Generations
Star Trek First Contact
Star Trek 2009
Time after Time Malcolm McDowell
Peggy Sue got Married
The Back to the Future Trilogy
and many others of lesser note.
I think I have seen almost every TT movie. These are some of my 5 star. There are some real stinkers too.

Airing tonight at 9 PM Pacific Time on KTBN TV is "Revelation", also entitled "Apocalypse II: Revelation" starring Jeff Fahey (Lawnmower Man). I haven't seen this movie before, so I can't give it a Review. From the Trailer above, it looks like it might be a B movie, but it's about Revelation in the Bible and that's what interests me. This movie was produced by Peter and Paul LaLonde who are Bible Prophecy experts.
