Online TV - Tips/Suggestions.

I recently discontinued my cable service and have been watching TV on the internet, mostly Hulu & Netflicks. I have tried various other sources with mixed results. I don't need 5,000 channels in foreign languages. I'm looking for some input from others who are more familiar with this.

I have had good luck on free sports coverage sites.
http://www.firstrowsports.tv/ and http://www.wiziwig.tv/index.php?part=sports cover most live events. I prefer firstrowsports (great quality) , but wiziwig gets some feeds that allow you to change cameras. Both of these links work well for watching blacked out games and ones not included in your cable service.

Any suggestions for current live tv or tv series would be appreciated.

I use torrents and VLC.

I watch my tv programs through EZTV. Zero commercial interruptions.

You can learn more about it via youtube if you like. Thats right, youtube has bit torrent tutorials.

Other stream sites I like include veetle,Ustream, and justinTV....I rely on stream sites when I want to catch a presidential debate live.

My friend used to have Netflix, it was pretty good but latest movies were taking a while to show up on there. I heard of EZTV before from someone I met at work, I didn't look much into it but it appeared to have a lot of content.

I used to watch movies on Ninja Videos. This site no longer exists.

EZTV is good, but the EZTVstream connection set off alarms for site warnings.
I'm familiar with veetle and justinTV, like them both.
Ustream I like a lot. Had me spending some time looking around, lots of live broadcasts.
TVU Networks http://www.tvunetworks.com/downloads/player.html# is one to check out. It does require a player download though.
Snagfilms http://www.snagfilms.com/films/browse/?sort=likes has a lot of good movies.
I still like Hulu for watching TV series. It includes many of the shows I like.
I am going to cancel Netflicks, not much new. I might spend the money saved somewhere else.
For torrent/magnet downloads, I prefer using Torrentz.com, quick access to finding multiples sites for downloads.
I'm still going to explore. It is entertaining, going into the internet jungle and looking for hidden treasures.
http://www.firstrowsports.tv/ remains my favorite sports site. Being from up north, I enjoy hockey. Here in N. Carolina there are not too many games being shown on TV,unless you pay. Now I have a choice of any game being played, for free. Can't beat that, eh?

Like you i too do this. And I love netflix because the movies come out on there sooner than on premium movie channels i have discovered. I still keep direct tv for my teenagers. But i have found this site and the links are really good it is called Solarmovie.eu the links most don't send up any warnings. You just have to browse for the best link. Also i recently stumbled upon this site but some of the links will not be good so have a virus adware and you will be ok. It is called www.1channel.1 or www.1channel.ch it went by another name but recently moved the site. I just watched breaking dawn part 1 from the twilight saga and it was good. Im glad i didnt go to the movies to see it though. Also on www.solarmovie.eu I watched Paranormal activity 3 right after it came out. I still like solar and netflix best. And defintitely upgrade your antivirus and adware or malware protectors. A good ad ware is by lavasoft called Ad-Aware is really good. They offer a free version and this company has been around for a long time. Everybody should definitely upgrade to a 2012 version of antivirus against new threats in my opinion.
