Back in the 70's my dad paid $500 for an electronic calculator that made life for him a joy. People said that he was stupid, because they used pencil and paper. My dad said that in the future calculators would cost less than $10 each and have a lot more power. Also, that computers more powerful than a 70's mainframe would be available for less than $500 and that they would be owned by near every one.
