MORRISVILLE, N.C. — Two people said Tuesday they spotted a dinosaur-like creature in Wake County.

Ted Hill, a 42-year-old man who claims to be a park ranger working in the area, told Cryptozoology News he was at Lake Norman on Dec. 21 when he saw the strange animal eating a duck.

“I was looking out for a beach,” said Hill. “Then a duck was yanked under and a huge animal rose up,” he added.

Hill says the sighting lasted about two minutes and that the creature looked like the “Loch Ness Monster”.

“It was smaller, 12 feet long.”

But Hill was not the only one to report the animal. Clerk John Fisher, 34, says he was at Lake Norman the following day when a similar creature showed up.

“I was fishing,” he told Cryptozoology News. “An animal came up and swam around for a few minutes, then dove back down.”

Fisher described the animal as a 10-feet-long dinosaur-like creature “much like the Loch Ness Monster”.

The two men conveyed their messages to Cryptozoology News from the same Internet Protocol address. It is not yet clear whether they share a home or a place of work.

In early September, two people claimed to have seen a similar creature in Lake Champlain.

Last year, a Canadian man released a series of photographs containing what he claimed to be the Opogogo monster.

In August, a park ranger at Lake Tele, Republic of Congo, said he had spotted a dinosaur-like monster and was able to watch it for over 5 minutes.

Lake Norman, fed by the Catawba River, was created in 1964 and is currently the largest artificial body of fresh water in the Taar Heel State.
