    The official gas price thread

    Aka anger management...
Want to complain about gaz prices, about how you paid for some gallons/litres ?
Here is your chance to say what you think.
I don't want to put this in the forum games, because it's not funny ! (lol)

    I'll start.
I just filled up my truck this morning, it cost me 85$.
It was 1.47$/l, the guy told me we were going to hit 2.00$/litre this summer, by vacation time (in 2-3 weeks).
Vacation time means people getting out of their cities, going else where, resting there, eating, buying stuff.
Damn, this year they're gonna stay home, it's gonna cost way too much.

Sometimes I go near the Maine border, gaz is way cheaper there. I don't go on the US side of the border, but all the gaz station in Canada sell their gaz cheaper near the lines. 7?/litre is not that bad when you pay 1.50$/litre.

So, that's it for this time. Let's see how it will cost next time, in a few weeks.

That's cool, you don't seem to use your car often. Do you have one ? lol
That makes you save a lot of money.
I bet that in 2 weeks, the prices are gonna go up seriously, for vacation time.
I'm not the guy who usualy makes predictions, but let's see

    Re: The Official Gaz Thread

Gaz prices didn't change this week in Qc.
I'll put some gas in my truck in a few days, before the prices go up for vacation time next week.

Gaz prices are going crazy today, 1.49$/litre in Qc.
That's a nice little +16 cents per litre in a single day.

    Re: The official Gaz thread

On some sites, they say gaz jumped 1$ a gallon !
That's crazy, they're making so much money, they even need reasons to get more and more money, again and again.

We survived vacation time with a gaz price being not that bad, but now, looks like they want us to pay for it.

    Re: The official Gaz thread

Prices went up due to speculation in the wake of hurricane Ike.

They should, theoretically come back down but don't hold your breath.

Back up to 4.00 per gal. here in Memphis now. This time last week it was 3.29 per gallon.

Prices are lower in Canada now. We're paying about 1.31$/litre, it's not that bad. If you make the calculation, we still pay more than you do !

Re: The official gas price thread

Yeah, we pay huge taxes on gaz prices here. That sucks.
They say people in Canada, and especially in Qc, are the most taxed in America. Not only for gas, but for everything.

Well I have heard from other Canadians that yes you pay higher taxes but that means that you have a better, more safer society.
I myself dont know. I did go up there once when I was 19...just to drink and bring my dad home some beer. He thought that was kool! I thought it was weird that in a couple of strip clubs, that the lights were on very bright. but that was 24 fricken years ago!

I've put 70$ of gaz in my SUV yesterday. I was lucky enought to be able not to buy gaz for a few weeks, waiting for the prices to drop.
