Do I believe in reincarnation, rebirth, or embodiment? The answer to this question is Yes and also No.
Rebirth is a phenomena experienced by the human, limited mind, therefore for souls which are not that advanced rebirth represents an opportunity to grow into higher levels of consciousness that eventually might or might not result in a more harmonious life.
On the other hand for those more advanced souls there is no need to go through the process of rebirth, a life characterized by a growth process free from the limitations and struggles common to life on planet Earth.
From the human standpoint rebirth could be a traumatic phenomena where the individual has to relearn some of the things already understood in several past lives becoming a child again all the way to the undesirable decay and death in what Adama from Telos calls "Reinventing the wheel" a repetitive process the Orientals also call "The wheel of birth and rebirth" a perpetual coming and going that in some instances, but not in all, is a waste of time and effort. Yet it is important to remember each person is totally unique so I don't have the right to judge anyone in that regard.
I DO NOT believe in reincarnation. Why?
Birth is the problem since in most instances birth leads to decay and death. I like to think that when birth is absent so is death, a freedom from the perpetual birth, death and rebirth slavery exemplified by the oriental wheel.
From a higher standpoint there is no birth and so no death, the naked truth is that we live in a permanent NOW in a perfect state of progression from harmony and bliss into higher levels of permanent joy and freedom. Better yet we do not have to wait until perfection will be attained in a so-called far future since by logic it is impossible to get in or out of eternity, in or out of immortality, in or out of infinity so we must be now perfect, eternal, immortal complete and absolutely and totally free.
The human experience, birth and rebirth, the physical universe, time, space and limitations of all sorts are nothing but illusions.
