My dad had a similar mobile phone in his car, at the size and weight of a car battery. Looked something like this. Would be nice to have the same battery capacity without so much weight. Old batteries had more capacity than needed to get enough watts.

My grandma had an even older phone without the wheel, which had the cable mounted directly into the wall without any socket. She kept it for around 80 years and refused to buy a new phone. The tele company assumed that these phones did not exist anymore, so there were no workers she could ask to connect the call for her.

Voice assist to call by name on modern phones only bring back the same convenience as the first phones already had, but without creating easy jobs.

The future is in our past!
