why does time exist?

Why does time exist? Time is word representing occurences, which I think about using words. Ironically, using words to explain why words represent anything means words are just symbols. Yet that conclusion cancels out itself, if words meant nothing i can't determine that using words that mean nothing.

But do the words have to mean what I think they mean? Therefor, what is time?

The measure of time seems a man made concoction to regulate different aspects of life.

Whether a human previous to a man made time piece sees that as such it created a new form of observing the day and a new industry.

In antiquity time was measured by the signs of the Sun and moon.

Without a handheld time piece the movements are observed by perception.

Consider locking yourself in a room with no light, how then can you perceive the time ?

It would also be worth thinking why prisoners around the world are put in solitary confinement with no light.

generalizing: an atom is "99.99" no space. google. earths space / 1000 == electron mass needed to replecate earths gravity and more. Occuping the space of 180b ÷ electron mass equal to earth's mass with no space between. Each electron. therefor a type of time travel.
