The only problem with this is that the radio frequency for civil aircraft in 1955 was 3023.5 Khz, and in 1992 the frequencies had been changed...Both the transmitters in the aircraft and the receivers at Air Traffic Control would have been fixed on that single frequency in 1955 and the modern receivers in ATC would never have covered that frequency in 1992..
However it did remind of an episode of "Torchwood" called Out Of Time, where an aircraft from 1953 lands on a runway with three people aboard, in 2006..
