Do any of you have an idea for a laser gun so powerful, that if you shoot someone/thing with it, that person/thing will turn into dust. Or it could be something similar to this.

Let's say I want to take a hike. And on the way, I see some kind of dangerous animal, or even an alien or anything. It will be easier to kill them than with the normal guns (but I'm not sure about the aliens). I could even use it if people are trying to rob me or something. I like being futuristic.
