I'm glad those dramas are all behind.

We lost about 60,000 posts back then, but we were able to recover 30,000 of them thanks to an old backup Grayson had.

Oh man, that was fucking terrible... This was back in 2006 or 2007 when I wasn't able to continue running the site and had lost interest, so made a deal with this guy who appeared to know what he was doing and made a lot of false promises. He basically stole the site, resold it to Grayson and the backup he had provided was corrupted which causes the loss of those posts.

Moral of the story: Don't do retarded things.

One lost post I regret the most was in Chip Russel's thread about predictions.

In that post, I predicted that there would be no indictment of higher-ups in the Valerie Plame affair and that Hillary wouldn't even win the nomination.

The Plame prediction was a week before the investigation ended and the Hillary prediction was a year before the primaries.
