I find this kind of comical; here I am talking about jamming my thumbs in it's eyes and shoving my fist down it's throat, and most of the males are saying "Screw that, I'd run!"

Yes, that's why I said "the worst case scenario".. Sure, I'd try to be still and not make eye contact, I'd run if it chased me, but if it were trying to eat me, I certainly wouldn't play dead...I've heard a survival story of a man attacked by a bear. He'd go unconsious and when he'd wake up, the bear was still chewing on him. He could hear his skull popping, his skin ripping...I know how dangerous bears can be...Anyhoo, when I first read this thread, by "creatures" I assumed he meant Bigfoot or an ET, not bears... P.S. "I Survived" was the show I was watching where they suggested poking the eyes, shoving something down it's throat, or punching an animal in the nose. Hopefully none of us will ever be in the situation to test these tecniques...I find this kind of comical; here I am talking about jamming my thumbs in it's eyes and shoving my fist down it's throat, and most of the males are saying "Screw that, I'd run!"
I can tell you don't know about bears. You wont get close enough to do what you propose. The course of action you chose will result in your death. While you are going for it's eyes, the bear has disemboweled you with one swipe.

But the man survived the bear attack by doing these things so...*shrug*.. Oh well, I'd rather be killed quickly anyway!Yes, that's why I said "the worst case scenario".. Well, I guess if there is no way out, your method sure would speed up your demise.
