Is There Sound On Mars?

Never thought of it before now... Is there sound on Mars?

Mars has a thin atmosphere, but is it enough to actually carry sound around?

If there's sound, how does it... sound? I mean, regarding the difference in air density and such. Do sounds have a higher or lower pitch, for instance?
