NINE MILE FALLS, Wash. — A motorist on Saturday said she spotted a “Bigfoot” creature crossing a busy road just outside of Spokane, Washington.
Destiny Farrell, 22, claims she and her daughter Gracie were on their way home from Spokane, west of Nine Mile Falls, when they watched the biped coming out of the river area.
“We were driving around the corner, and it walked across the road,” Farrell said about the March 1 encounter on a YouTube video where she shows the spot to the viewers.
She explains that the alleged creature came out of an embankment and immediately crossed the road, climbing up the hill on the other side.
“There is a trail, it might be a deer trail,” she said, as she pointed out some animal tracks on the dry soil. “It looks like Bigfoot just goes right out to the water.”
The Washington woman stated that the ape-like being was about 8 feet tall, but didn’t mention additional physical features, such as its hair color.
And Farrell says she is sure that what she and her daughter saw that night was the real thing.
“There is no way it was a person dressed up in a suit, you know… he was so tall, it was impossible,” she explained.
In late September, a mother and her son claimed to have seen two Bigfoot creatures communicating with each other via whistles in the northern area of Snohomish County, Washington.
In 1996, a 911 dispatcher responded to a call made by a frightened caller out of the Kitsap Peninsula, Washington. The call prompted immediate action from the authorities, who after investigating the area weren’t able to find any evidence of the animal.
Nine Mile Falls is an unincorporated community located between Spokane County and Stevens County and is home to the historic Spokane House trading post.
