Re: Terraforming

When I ear of flying cars, I think of Back to the Future. The flying Delorean was so cool !!! :)

I wonder if we will ever have flying cars anyway, it would be awesome.

yeh what he said ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
just how the hell are we going to keep the O2 from floating off into space. first they better figure out how the outer layers of our own atmosphere are held in place?????? yeh, yeh, yeh gravity. ok. but how do it work on a gas?????? this is most puzzling to me. we all talk about gravity like we know somthing.

Wildman,
It works on a gas in exactly the same way it works on a liquid or a solid.

A planet with similar mass would hold an atmosphere of similar density.

This means Mars couldn't hold an atmosphere we could easily breath, but Venus certainly could if you could just reverse the greenhouse effect that has run rampant there.

Uh Oh greenhouse effect on Venus? Maybe the human race lived on Venus LONG time ago and then moved to Earth when we destroyed Venus with all our aerosol!
Just a thought..Wrong but still.....

Re: Terraforming

If I remember, they say Venus has a pretty strong volcanic activity, and more than once, the planet's entire surface melted. That's pretty hot in there.

Thats Hot.
I wonder which of the planets could be a substitute for Earth in the event we need to "relocate"?
I would settle for a space station....sounds like fun ta me....

None of them would work as they are.

Venus is the likeliest - it's almost exactly the same size as the Earth.

Re: Terraforming

We could end up making our own planet..I wonder if that could be done.
I mean it sounds dangerous. But still.....
