The way I look at it is: some people need religion or they go insane.

it's also my opinion that Jesus wanted spirituality to be more simplified
than the way the Church makes it. Jesus was against the religious
orders of the time. He was trying to help people spiritually
transcend to a state of peace and people misinterpreted him
imo and used his movement for war

Proof Jesus wanted spirituality to be simple:

That is not true at all lol. Christian and Islamic people as well as Jewish people tend to attack anyone with differing views whilst most satanic people stay calm and peaceful unless threatened

But the question is is there an overarching force that makes people
do bad things? Is it unseen? Is it something that can not necessarily
be proven but may be able to be eventually?

And could there theoretically be some spiritual war between
a force of good and a force of evil sometimes PRETENDING to
be that same good force? Or vice versa?
