What Would Happen If the Dollar Collapsed?

The potential global economic crisis that may be set off by the domino of a default in Greece could make recent recessions look like child’s play. It could even bring about something that conspiracy enthusiasts have feared for decades: the collapse of the dollar. With more and more signs pointing to the reality of a collapse felt the world over, you might be wondering if it’s time to take action to protect yourself and your family. We’ve all heard the “wisdom” being spread around about buying and stockpiling gold in lieu of the dollar to be ready when the big one hits. But just how big of a deal would this be? Just what would happen if the dollar really did collapse? Why is this so much more damning than other currencies that have collapsed in recent times? The video below from our friends at Documentary TV does a great job of explaining just how all-encompassing the collapse of the dollar would be and how it would literally affect everyone.

I believe that Greece will be put into the care of several member states of the EU..
Collectively they will steer the country out of its economic demise, and put it back on track until a time comes when Greece can once again look after itself

In 1976 Great Britain was on the brink of bankruptsy when our shares and stocks plummeted to an all time low..
Fortunately for us this was overcome very quickly by the knowledge that huge amounts of North sea oil were being found close to us..
And fortunately also,in 1979 the Labour government was kicked out of office for 18 years while the Conservatives brought our country into economic wealth..

What would happen if the dollar collapsed? We would be SOL, screwed, and everything else that is not good. Ran across this on Facebook.

It is dollars that allow corporations to run. The company is no person. Rather instead, it is a vampire.

A different point of view...

Dollar collapse would not happen by itself unless there is an external entity that can handle it. It is like, if you have a bank that is really big, but the bank gets money from the government for finance management and then gets in to trouble. So, there is an external structure the bank could not manage. Hence it does cause problem in a local scale.

In case of Dollar...it is PetroDollars...means, the whole world depends on it as the big bank that produces the money as needed. Even China could not help in this area. So, every one will get upset if the dollar inflates but could not do any thing due to the Trillions of dollars in the system. If it is in trouble, no one will know where to go....so, it is like no major external government can handle the global Dollar system.

Except...in 2050, China would be ready to take over, in case Dollar gets in to trouble by then. Until now, I would not worry about it...Bad situation...yes...worse situation...more so...but the Petrodollars is here to stay for a while...that is towards 2050. Unless we get rid of oil and use those UFO zero energy or whatever..

Bottom line - It is the Oil = Energy that is keeping Dollar at bay....for the time being...change that, you would be in a interesting situation.

After that, it would be a mess.....your grand kids may have to learn Chinese...so, watch for your Dollar and save some in may be Gold...just in case...
