When i first heard her song, I kissed a girl, i predicted it would reach Number 1 in the UK and it did 3 weeks later and OMG when i first saw her on You Tube singing that song it was love at first sight

I really enjoyed all of Del Shannons songs he brought out in the 1960s and he had that definitive vocal signature..
Runaway was his first hit record in the UK back in 1961, and i loved how that song started off in a minor key which added a lot of "atmosphere" to it...I was very upset to hear that he had committed suicide some years ago as he was trying to establish himself once again and had re-released Runaway in 2000..

Great song Harty, i did my own version of that in 1986 and of course it was far superior lol
