Fatto sta che la reliquia viene ancora oggi custodita dai templari del santo sepolcro della Valle Benedetta ed esposta insieme ad altre reliquie. Secondo la Bibbia Catara la reliquia in precedenza veniva custodita al Conventaccio, ma qualcosa di più prezioso veniva nascosto in quel monastero in carne ed ossa, e cioè Maria Magdalena. Questo era il motivo per cui all’interno del Conventaccio si erano stanziate le monache sepolcrine, per dare modo alla Magdalena di mimetizzarsi vestendo le loro insegne… ma questa è un’altra storia.</p><p></p><p>Un’altra storia poco conosciuta vede come protagonista una collina situata anch’essa nei pressi della Valle Benedetta. Il promontorio in questione fu chiamato Golgotha, luogo di rituali esoterici che venivano esercitati dalle monache sepolcrine, veri e propri sabba, dato che ormai le monachesse, costrette al contatto con lo “specchio del Romitone”, erano divenute nel corpo e nello spirito delle streghe, che dalla preghiera erano passate all’evocazione. Per questo, con l’aiuto degli eremiti neri, fecero issare tre grandi croci sulla collina per rievocare, grazie alla reliquia della cute del Cristo, la crocefissione al contrario. Tale cerimoniale sacrilego si perpetrò per molti anni, fino all’avvento di Colombino Bassi che fece abbattere le tre croci per impedire alle streghe di continuare nel loro intento. Colombino Bassi riuscì, fortuitamente, pure a recuperare la reliquia da una delle croci abbattute che da quel momento in poi fu custodita presso la chiesa che lui stesso stava costruendo.</p><p></p><p>In pochi conoscono questa affascinante vicenda, ma la memoria ancestrale degli abitanti della Valle Benedetta pare ancora ricordare l’arcano, infatti essi chiamano tutt’oggi quella collina “Calvario”, memore di un sinistro passato.</p><p></p><p>Trovo alquanto singolare che in un link apparentemente insignificante venga proprio citata la presenza delle tre croci alla Valle Benedetta.
