Information, Recantation and Explanation 1. Upon further discussion with my acquaintance I find that she did not, in fact, witness the party name change, but rather read about it from another source. Second-hand information is bad enough, but third-hand? Strike one. 2. It's quite possible that the stickers on the suspect's van were recently applied - by the suspect. This would explain no record of him being stopped by law enforcement, and why the printing on the stickers was not faded by the Florida sun, as would otherwise be the case if the stickers had been there for a longer period of time. Strike two. 3. My other acquaintance also acknowledges that his information concerning the suspect's Facebook account is also second-hand. Strike three. I apologize to all for allowing myself to be temporarily consumed by this madness. It's an easy thing to do. Too easy. If someone like myself, who is generally skeptical of all conspiracy theories, can be momentarily taken in by one, then God help those whose skepticism bar is set far lower than mine. In the end, this was the act of a sick individual. He was not acting in the interest of the Democrats - or the Republicans for that matter. I doubt that politics even has very much to do with it, just as I doubt that religious fervor is truly what guides the hands of certain extremists who invoke the names of Muhammad and Allah. People such as this do what they do because of what is within them - because of the sickness which consumes their souls. The excuses of politics and religion are precisely that - excuses. And nothing more.
