Creature that looks like a rock with organs

Take a look at this creature:

It's a Pyura chilensis

It looks like a rock. It's immobile like a rock. But it's living and as guts, as you can see above. I'm not sure how old this thing is supposed to live. Perhaps when undisturbed, it can live for a pretty long time. Oh and it's secreting vanadium.

It's apparently not so rare, as it's considered, according to Wikipedia, to have a very tasty meat, both raw or cooked. I don't think I'd eat it though.

I found out about this creature while reading a few articles. I figured I'd share it with you guys for your enjoyment. Maybe someone actually had a chance to taste it. It depends where you live!

It's very unusual. If I saw on in person I would think it was a rock. But it does not look tasty, LOL.

I actually had I bit... I was on a ship coming from Argentina back to new orleans and the cook had some ..... It's real bitter.
