Farmington, New Mexico, a town with a population of nearly 5,000 observed a formation of HUNDREDS of UFOs perform astonishing areial maneuvers. The UFOs appeared before noon on March 18, 1950 and returned that same afternoon. Observers described the objects as "spaceships" and estimated their speed in excess of one thousand miles an hour. Witbesses included the mayor, newspaper reporters, aand highway patrolmen. "Mysteries of the Unknown", 1989.

This is a report on a multiple sighting of silver dark fluttering objects in the Farmington sky on St. Patricks Day in 1950 which was attributed to a skyhook balloon which tore into hundreds of little pieces.

No UFOs, just pieces of balloon.
