Then as higher cognitive learning is gained everything builds on top of factors that affected you earlier. Eventually you are more prone to make a certain decision based on those experiences and your genetic makeup. If you had to choose between vanilla and chocolate icecream your prior experiences determine what you are more likely to pick. So even if you decide to share someones experience, you really don't choose to make things happen your way. So if I leave this body in a few days, it will continue to do what it will do.
