Lovely Lucy Explaining How To Use The English Language.

Funny thing is as a Yank, I understood most of these words.
However,

Duvet
Lorry
Off License

Threw me off a bit.

My mum used to call Flip Flops "Thongs" as well.
It gives me an image of someone walking by with their undies around their ankles.

In the South some would call that "Nekkid"
(Which in Slang means naked and up to no good.):whistle:

Have you ever heard of Toilet referred to as "The Phone" ?

That one really threw me first I heard it.

Yes iam aware of someone implying a "Time-Travelling Toilet" could also be used for a phone, as seen in one of those Hoax video`s where that Lord Henry Chatterton aka many more names including female names, posted a slightly blurred photo of a toilet with an old ear piece sticking out of it :ROFLMAO:..

No doubt Windy, the idiotic Lord Henry Chatterton was hoping he would fool some clown into believing that his Time Travelling Toilet was actually real!!..Fortunately Windy, his hopes were very soon "flushed" down his own toilet!! :ROFLMAO:..

Ah yes, that good old Soggy, Blue-Stained Ear Syndrome from answering a 'Ringing Toilet w/ Blue Water' Phone.

That and a lemony fresh scent is one definite way to find a real time traveler....Of that, I am Shure........(cough)

OMG, I love English with Lucy, so glad others do too.

This video she did of weirdness in England is also really enjoyable:

I liked the part where she describes Scones.
Scones here in the US are known as Biscuits only with much less sugar
and are usually served with gravy.
Especially popular down South.

I will be very interested to know how long you manage to watch this slightly over the top video, despite the beautiful looks of Lucy and her divine way of talking ...Above all, please enjoy (y);)..

Lovely Lucy back again delightfully explaining word Pronunciation :D..
