Microsingularities
Hi Rug. I guess the easiest way to 'splain it is that they are "black holes" (I'm assuming you know them) that are so small they are points in space, as opposed to the giant masses scientists see normal black holes as. Theorized by Stephen Hawking to be left over from the big bang, scientists believe it would be possible to capture and utilize these microsingularities in a time travel machine because of their ability to affect local gravity structure, much in the way an effected einstein rosen bridge would make instant time-space travel a reality.
