Mutiple existance

If tom will to travel back in time, when he arrive at the past, will there be two "tom"(one from the past and one from the future) or will there be only one(which is the one from the future)??
Lets make the situation worst, wat if there r mutiple "toms" from the future, they all travel back in time, and meet up,will there be many "tom"?

Re: Mutiple existance

If Tom were to travel back in time one day and went to his house, then there would be two of him. One that was there naturally and the one from the future. The catch is that the total amount of times a person travels to a point in time, ever, there will be that many of him there. In other words, if Tom decided to go to his third birthdayparty, every year for ten years, then his third birthday party would have, in attendance, ten adult copies of Tom, each a year apart.

This is derived from the Second Law of Chronodynamics

Not if a seperate Toms from a alternate world decided to go to that same party, for the Toms you see are Identical Twins. Surprise!
