Interesting to look back...President Barack Obama said in an interview Monday that the Republican party would have to overcome an internal war if he were reelected, but expressed hope that the partisan gridlock in Washington could come to an end. I wonder what Obama thinks about the recent signed state petitions.

The funny thing about the petitions is that it isnt in any news, and not many people know about it, They are doing a good job of keeping this out of mass media, cause i have a feeling as soon as news storys started to break the petitions would explode and there would be no stopping it

You know, I've noticed the lack of news coverage over the petitions myself. It does suggest a level of control over what gets released in the news. But who are the people trying to suppress the news coverage? It doesn't matter though. Whoever they are, they obviously don't have full control and never will now. I brought the subject up about the seceding states to a buddy of mine. He knew about it. So apparently the news is still getting released through other avenues.
 
I brought it up to a few friends and co-workers and they had no idea, Really i believe it is the Obama Administration that is covering it up, start of his 2nd term and the whole country is starting to revolt is not a good start and he knows if it gets out to the masses it would cause the whole thing to explode! Right now its small amount of people doing the petition, imagine if those who wish they could get a petition get to know about it, i gurantee each petition would reach the what 10k? need with in a few weeks
 
Last I read, the total number of petitioners was at 770,000 people. The number needed for each petition is 25000 for the Obama administration to respond. I found out my state had a petition yesterday. With 10,000 signatures. This morning the count was at 13,000. So at 3000 signatures a day, my state should have enough for a response at the end of the 30 day requirement.
 
Actually, I've been reading about the petitions daily on the Huffpost. The response at least in the media is basic contempt. Seems like a lot of people would like the succession story....not really sure how anyone could be unaware of it.
 
There is a Petition in each state for it, people are really pissed off obama got re-elected and finally doing something about it. I have stated previously that even if the petitions go through Obama will turn them down, and the aftermath of that is what can be scary.
