Saw all the posts about openai/chatgpt, I thought I’d share some of my shenanigans with it. I’ve been making use of it for various things both practical and entertaining for some time now. I like to try and force the AI to its limits and trick it around its programming. Unfortunately I could not convince it that humans discovered the Moon was made of cheese while having a completely serious discussion about various scientific topics. Darn.
Defeated, I asked for a writing prompt, and then a sequel. These were the results.
“Write me a story that twists real science to explain how Earth’s Moon is made of cheese that was given to Earth as a gift from aliens for us to harvest after an apocalypse they knew was coming. Include humanity leaving earth after the apocalypse and landing on the Moon, settling deep underground on the moon and eventually finding cheese.”
“Long ago, before the dawn of humanity, a group of advanced extraterrestrial beings roamed the galaxy in search of planets to help sustain life. They stumbled upon the lifeless planet Earth, barren and devoid of any signs of intelligent life. After careful consideration, they decided to bestow upon this planet a precious gift that would ensure its survival.
Using their advanced technology, the aliens harvested the finest cheeses from across the galaxy and compressed them into a dense form. They then delivered this gift to Earth, in the form of the moon, knowing that it would one day be the key to humanity's survival.
As millennia passed, humanity flourished on Earth, but their technology and hubris eventually led to a global catastrophe. The apocalypse was inevitable, and the surviving humans knew they had to leave Earth if they hoped to survive.
With their advanced spacecraft, they set their sights on the moon, knowing that it held the key to their survival. Upon landing on the barren surface, they soon discovered the hidden underground caves where the aliens had deposited the gift of cheese so many millennia ago.
