Sometimes when I dream I can either dream of people who are connected to me (such as work colleagues or people I have met and know some things about what is going to happen to them during the day), or people who lived long ago and are connected to me in some way, or sometimes places that I have never heard of or been to (most memorably Mary, Queen of Scots at Bolton Castle where her ghost walks, or the name of an old Tudor property which I have forgotten). I divide my dreams into three categories; a "junk" dream means nothing, dreams with people I know or have been around serve as a warning or for information of what is going to happen in the day or what I should do or shouldn't do, and the third type which I call "Blood Dreams".
To elaborate a little more on the "Blood Dreams"; as stated they feature people that lived long ago, but who I have a blood connection with (i.e. they were ancestors), and sometimes see them in some form, and a voice always behind me tells me what the place is or who they are. "Papa in the Snow" however has me stumped.
This is Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught; second youngest son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert photographed in Canadian Uniform. In the dream I had (this was about 2000\2001), I was in Queen Victoria's rooms and this picture was on the wall. I said something to her, and she fled out in tears yelling at me (the two times I see her, she is always angry with me), I saw the picture, asked who it was and a girl's voice behind me said "Papa in the snow". Until 2000\2001, I had never seen that picture, nor really had any idea who Arthur was, and I certainly would not have known enough about this picture who know who it was. I only found out the information the next day when I researched Queen Victoria's sons, whom before I had had very little interest in.
