[QUOTE="Phil Wainwright, post: 77737, member: 4558"] I see no one has mentioned the far more basic fact that letting an unattended child into your house has ramifications beyond aliens, vampires or other paranormal implications. There is the possibility that you could be viewed as an undesirable person. I guess that the only advice I would give would be to call the police immediately and get them to safety that way. I guess that whilst the above statement is sensible, it is a crying shame when society today would prevent someone offering assistance to a child or a lone female because of the past actions of a very few people with dishonourable intentions. The nearest I could come to describing this kind of attitude, is a simple example. I passed a car at the side of the road with the hazard lights on (in US speak I think 4 way flashers? ). I stopped behind the car, as I have a forward facing dashboard camera.... my actions were caught on video. I approached the drivers side and through a gap in the window asked if the woman needed help. She told me someone was coming. I left, and then called the police to ask if someone would make sure she was OK. I always carry a very comprehensive tool kit in my car, I could have done so much more to help her, but these days it is not good enough to be honourable, you have to be SEEN to be honourable....
