Putin says Russia to get hundreds of military planes - Yahoo! News
This story cracks me up. Makes me imagine images of children with little pedal powered cars that have airplane bodies over them. Or the Flintstones airplanes where everyone pushes with their feet to take off. This is what conjures up in my mind when I think Russian Air Force. And I think this is one reason he's making this move. Nobody takes Russia's military serious these days. They do have some serious hard core soldiers. But their equipment is sometimes second and third hand. They aren't as far back as people would have us believe though. I know they have some top notch equipment that other countries don't have and would like to get their hands on. ANd these border threats.. I'm wondering if they mean the US trying to set up missile sites in Poland.. or the Chinese coming up the rear?
