Terror in the Skies, Again? Hmmmm Im going to be a bit cynical here. I don't know how much of this article I believe to be honest. Where did you find this article Heggy? First of all I find it so hard to believe that real terrorists would be so stupid to be this obvious for 4 hours while trying to build a bomb. I also find it hard to believe that this many men of middle eastern descent would get on a domestic flight in the US carrying instrument cases and bags without getting hassle and additional security checks. Not is the USA of 2004. It is documented that middle eastern business men who have no criminal/ terrorist backgrounds are getting tons of hassle travelling alone. Some of been held for days/months for no reason other than unfounded suspicion. These men have been stopped from contacting their families while held by the authorites for months. I know of one man, a canadian citizan born in syria, travelling to the US on business who had a similiar name to a suspected terrorist. Because the FBI/CIA was too stupid to differentiate between different middle eastern names, the arrested this man based on suspician only. They also deported him to not Canada but to Syria where he was tortured. He was imprisoned there a year before he was able to get back to Canada. I bet he was probably one of the lucky ones. If anyone is interested and I can post the article about this as well as accounts of people I know of through friends. The america of the 21st century is way to paranoid for the above to have occured as written. I am also surprised that this was not picked up by certain major news networks, hell bent on scaring people and causing them to report every muslim they see walking down the street as a terrorist. Maybe Im just in a bad mood but this seems like classic underground urban legend scare tactic type of stuff. I also wonder if was some sort of training exercise/experiment conducted by intellegence/ security agencies for as a dry run. ? At any rate, something doesnt seem right with this story.
