It is proven that you can travel forward but not backward's, if you travel backward's then end up in an alternate line that was already there for you. Other wise you can only go forward. Proven fact.

This is what a lot of the books on time travel out there will say but that doesn't make it fact. Some scientists say it with confidence as if it was proven. How would anyone know if there has been people out there that went into the future without staying in the same worldline and automatically going to an alternate?
