What if there are intelligent extraterrestrial civilizations out there somewhere far away in the universe, and what if they are on their way to Earth but because nothing can go faster than the speed of light, and we don’t know at what speeds they are traveling and we don’t know for how long they have been traveling, they might have been traveling for millions, or billions, or trillions of years, and who knows when they will arrive, maybe next year or in a century, or thousands, or millions, or billions, or trillions of years from now. Just like who knows when humans might reach an extraterrestrial civilization. So in a sense it’s not a matter of if but when.
 
Yes, but they have to warp or constrict space in order to travel long distances. "Time" does work differently out in space as well.
It's not based on Earth time. We have a lot to learn.
