Yeah, but I see it as just taking your kid to an R-rated movie.

Just curious...do you have any kids?

I have 3 sons and I wouldn't have indulged any of them with a Stripper...but then I also didn't let them see any R-Rated movies.

Exposing a 16-year-old to a Stripper could lead to all kinds of problems. It could turn them into Porn junkies, could make them want to be with Prostitutes, there are many possibilities that could lead to habits that aren't good.

Some parents do very stupid things, like give their young teenagers alcohol, and as adults, they become alcoholics. I've seen it happen over and over again.

A sixteen-year-old is still a very impressionable kid.

I have a daughter all grown up with two kids of her own. So I don't have any boys where the situation could have actually arisen. But after the fact and much later in life I discover from my daughter that her mom (my ex wife) was supplying her with condoms at age 13. So I suppose that there are parents that are concerned with their child's future enough to take an active part in preparing them for that future.

So the question is, do you want to take a part in preparing them, or do you just turn your back, and let them fend for themselves.

Considering, I think I would have liked to have known a little bit more about girls at age 17 than I did.

You said, "So the question is, do you want to take a part in preparing them, or do you just turn your back, and let them fend for themselves."

Paying for a Stripper for a 16-year-old is no way for a Mother to prepare her sons for life, no way to teach young men to relate to women, no way to help prepare them for choosing a good wife. Hiring a Stripper for a teenage son teaches him to disrespect women for one, teaches him to regard women as 'sex objects', and promotes sex-for-money. It's detrimental on many levels.

All of my sons respect women.

So on this subject, again, we must agree to disagree.

You may consider it to be detrimental. But what happens is there are those of us with knowledge and those of us without. If you don't take part in their development in their learning curve, then they will choose on their own what they wish to learn. Wouldn't supervised learning be a better choice? So what happens if you shield them from the world until they are 20 years old? Do you think its fun being a virgin at 20? But you could have prepared them for what was to come. I'm not suggesting anything illegal. I'm suggesting you view the world from your child's viewpoint. You were there at one point too. Helping them make the transition into adulthood with guidance in my opinion is a better option.

Einstein, as I said...We must agree to disagree!

(And you assume too much in your comments referencing the raising of my sons.)

Well, I posted that to give a little life back to the post after the kid killing himself. Then I go to bed. When I wake up, I see all this!

ANYWAYS.. moving up and moving on... This lady probably would have gotten away with it if she wasn't also at the party. It says right in that story that some of the pictures actually showed her getting a lap dance. I know parents growing up that would throw parties for us, but they were smart enough to be "out of town" for the night. I thought that was the funny part of the story. She throws a party and joins in the fun. Regardless of your personal stance on doing that for your son... I'm not sure as a kid if I'd ever be the same mentally after seeing my mom beside me getting a lap dance.
