2032 coincidence

Is it just a coincidence that the BIG ONE earthquake and a risk of a Large Asteroid hitting Earth are expected in 2032? What a cataclysmic event that will be!

My take on this is that this is obviously just another "Chicken Little" story. Just like the bird flu hoax and the monkey pox hoax. If you believe any of it, then you might also be susceptible to other ideals that might not be true.

I can say with absolute certainty that there will be a massive and devastating earthquake and an even more dangerous asteroid impact... within the next 100,000 years. The problem is that few people will want to read a story like that... well, at least outside the fields of tectonics and orbital mechanics. Personally, I believe they will happen much sooner, but it still may not be within my lifetime... I'd rather they not be within my lifetime, TBH.
