Above Top Secret Closed Down?

I found an answer on Reddit:
The website was hacked a few times in the last year and was allegedly 'fixed' by other hackers and handed back over to the community. The actual owners have been MIA for a while and each time the site goes down, many mods (the ones that are left) and people in the know feel as if it may have been for the last time.

Interestingly, the domain was renewed recently, despite whois information showing it has a clientRenewProhibited status. This status is usually placed on domains by the registrar and can be used for domains that are going through some kind of legal dispute. (Not saying that is the case here, but there are limited reasons why this status should be seen on a domain)

If it does come back up, then please exercise caution and it should be expected that any and all information you put into that site has already been compromised. So, use a throwaway single use password and only log in if you really have to.

The backend infrastructure is hosting unpatched services that have multiple known security vulnerabilities. And while the site holds many memories, it is not safe whatsoever and has not been safe for some time.

So it's been hacked and it's down, probably for good. If it ever comes back, it's likely rigged with malwares and junk, so be careful... A sad fate for a great site that's been around for ages.

Some of the previous members and staff started their own offshoot community here in the meantime:

I also found this site among the suggestion, the name is pretty rad!
