Alternates Collide?

So a military chopper from an alternate location, and time? appears unexpectedly and collides with a small jet from this time in DC last night. ? Nah. But seems like unintended approaches to a place and time within time could be hazardous.

I can speculate that there will be lots of speculation on this. My speculation on this is the collision was caused by a DEI military pilot.

Of course a narrative will be created which can be anything but the truth.

What I don't understand is why any aircraft is allowed to enter or cross paths through a landing and take-off air corridor. It seems to me like that is just plain common sense.

TCAS (Traffic Collision and Avoidance System) is supposed to automatically alert of these situations regardless of air traffic control. I would think a military helicopter and a passenger jet would both be equipped with this. I guess we'll find out in a few months when the reports start getting released.

It was if the assigned altitude was at 200 feet MSL. An y higher, then you're in someone else's lane.
