AP for time travel? Why not?
I have heard of past life regression. It's not a form of time travel. It can be very helpful to try and understand how certain engrams get placed within our selves such as 'fear of heights' 'fear of drowning' 'fear of flying' and you come to see that within the family circle, the same Souls will choose to reincarnate with each other to work out Karma that is owed between them to balance things out. Also due to love,
Souls may choose to stay in a family 'circle' for generations of that family each individual having the chance to play the mother, the father, aunt, uncle whatever is necessary for its learning and unfoldment.
The only thing I can add is that this should be done with EXPERTS helping you. You really want to avoid those that are unfamiliar with what can happen if you 'stumble' upon a major engram that you were not prepared to deal with quite yet and they have no clue how to help you. IMHO it is very important that the person/persons assisting you have the ability to read the AKASHIC RECORDS perfectly without screwing up.
Having some counselor hypnotize you and taking you back is just like opening up a can of monster worms. They may be qualified to 'help' in relationship issues but you sure as hell do NOT want them poking around in your past.

I remember the trainer that EagleHeart mentions, Lee Stone, from back then, when I was at the Monroe Institute. He did past life regression work on people, but not on me. I had the feeling that he had been a Confederate soldier, with some authority, during the American Civil War. When I asked him if he was a Civil War soldier, he told me that he had been a Confederate soldier, who spent three days on the battlefield dying.
He strangely told me that I reminded him of Sean Connery in the movie in which he was a priest, who solved the mystery in an old manuscript. As Sean Connery was the first James Bond, this was doubly significant to me, since I seem to be involved in somehow solving mysteries in physics and metaphysics, though I'm not specially trained in science or religion and I was apparently a British Secret Agent, last lifetime.
I also mentioned to Lee Stone, that another student there, Gary Boardman, who had to leave early because the United Nations needed his services, reminded me of President Woodrow Wilson. Lee said I was probably right. In a couple of long conversations with Gary, I got that distinct impression of his past life. And he was still very much a Democrat. I don't think he liked it when he realized my views were not like his.
Past life regression is one way to gain insight into other lifetimes. I've been triggered into intuitive awareness of previous lifetimes of myself and others, by various means, something I read, something someone told me, a recognition of repetitive karmic-reincarnational patterns, someone's appearance or demeanor, even a dream or vision of a past life, which is more common to other people than it is to me.
I'm very aware of connections that some of us have to the battle of the Alamo, in early March, 1836 and to the much earlier time of the Trojan War, which occured a few thousand years ago. Even though it happened thousands of years ago, the repetitive karmic patterns are extensive and obvious enough that I can not ignore it. Hopefully it's giving me insight, so that we won't keep repeating the same negative patterns.
Is past life regression analogous in any way to mental time travel to or remote viewing of the past? Some of you seem to think so. Then what of the Akashic records, is that the holographic records of the Milky Way's Spiral Time Streams that we flow through, in our respective Spirals, which are constantly evolving and changing? One can eliminate the Cause, Effect, Record and Memory of something in the Time Streams.
