Black Holes

Something doesn’t make sense to me. Wouldn’t Black Holes as we know it eventually suck in everything as they continue to get bigger and bigger, and why haven’t they sucked in the whole universe by now.
 
Everything to date is considered theoretical concerning black holes. None of it is proven. In every instance where it appears there is a candidate for a black hole, Occam's razor tells us to take the simplest explanation. Usually interstellar gas can account for any observation that could be interpreted as a black hole.
