I hope it gets up to $1 million, so the perpetrator(s) are caught quickly!

Boston Police, Firefighter Unions Offer $50,000 Reward After Marathon Bombings

BOSTON (CBS) – Boston’s public safety unions are offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the fatal Boston Marathon bombings.

Unions pooling their resources to provide the funds are the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts, Boston Firefighters Local 718, Boston Police Patrolman’s Association, Boston Police Superior Officers Federation and the Boston Police Detectives Benevolent Society.

Thomas Nee, of the Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association, is promising to find the person behind the attack.

“We will find this person, and we will bring that person to justice,” Nee said Tuesday. “It is unacceptable that somebody could disrupt so many people’s lives in seconds, destroy some families, but we will be there for those families as we do everyday and we will offer our hands.”

Three people were killed and more than 170 were injured after two bombs exploded on Boylston Street near the finish line of the Boston Marathon Monday.

Nee said, “I want to cry for the feeling that I have in my heart, but I know I would be feeding the idiot that caused such a crime.”
