Are these shadows "entity"? or "souls"? Because I believe that these "entities" (ghosts, souls or etc) are forms of suspended energy, and only people who are COMPLETELY open minded into such paranormals are the only ones who can see them because they can feel/see suspended energy in their environment by recognizing their frequency. Sounds like being "Lucy" (from the movie Lucy).
