Re: cy'all - Basoon
Made it back and managed to stay dry...mostly. I have witnessed the most awe inspiring display of power in the six hour thunderstorm we had there (6am - noon)
None of our group, me included (kicking myself now), would leave our tents during it, I could see lightining through the tent skin. two or three stages, got hit and apparently a bar 'blew up', from lightning strikes, possible the bar explosion was a bit of a glasto urban myth.
We were late arriving so got lumbered right at the top of the hill....We had a small stream even there going through the front, cooling my Fosters

This turned into a torrent that washed tents and people down the hill. Some photos :
Yes there are two guys in a boat taking people to the bar, well done lads
It wasn't all mud, was scorching for all of it apart from that one day really...
One of many rambles...
All in all a fantastic time, if you get the chance to go to a festival I highly recommend doing it, have been told about one in Portugal in the forest that is supposed to be a blast, budget airlines here I come....
