Dimensional travel in dreams

My only puzzle about this happening is if you go as yourself to another dimension what happens to the other you ? surely two of you together in the same dimension at the same time would this cause problems? They say everyone has a double somewhere maybe this is the answer but not together in the same place,

One of the members on here had suggested a good possibility that sometimes instead of always going to an alternate dimension where there is you and also the other you, that you could go to a copy universe that was created to contain your lost or dislodged consciousness that may have got lost from the dimension or worldline it was previously at.

but it has always puzzled me to and wondered if the presents of you in a different universe could sometimes shift the other you over to the next worldline and cause like a dominos effect
