If they didn't rotate it would break our laws of known physics.
Everything in existence that we have measured has spin.

What humans call solar flares are ejections, or projections of high vibrational spiritual energies.
In almost all cases that I am aware off, flares are aimed directly at earth as the body planet from what you might call an asymmetric perpendicular focal point, ie, it doesn't matter where they emanate from from our perspective, top left, lower right, they always aim at earth. regardless of any angles relative to its own visual apparent core or centre point.

I’m wondering if we can predict these flares with science. “Knowing” movie with Nicholas Cage was interesting around 2014. It seems that northern lights often occur in same general geographic area. Is our magnetic field weaker there or any reason why northern lights appear where they do.
