If it blows, (and it is 40,000 years overdue) you will have at least a VEI8 episode on your hands and snow in Baton Rouge... better get your Ski's waxed cary.

This could be the step that makes California an Island if it stays afloat.
Perhaps buying as much property in Barstow may not be a bad idea as it may be beach front property.

LOL Oh, hell no. I still got my snow skies. I gave the water skis away when I sold my boat about 15 yrs. ago. Haven't used the snow skis in about 10 years or so, but I don't think they'd be much use under 10 ft. of volcanic ash. Last thing on my mind. First thing would be, the hell somebody dumped 10 ft. of volcanic ash on my head? LOL

Good point Starlord, re: messing with mama Gaia. I missed out on the first healing after the tsunami, so I don't have many details, but I do know that all healings are/should be/ automatically are "for the highest good",.If mama Gaia knows better, so be it. Certainly one could argue that changes caused by pollution (primarily atmospheric), mining, drilling, extracting, and exploding are 'unnatural' stresses that any earth healing would attempt to alleviate. I became interested in Reiki after researching holistic healing for a Psych paper. There were correlations between the reduction of certain human biological stress indicators and reiki. I just came across all the copies of the research material for real life quotes or it can be googled.

I was UNABLE to find earthquake archives on the web site I use (other than individual historical ones...no 'big' picture, and I have not had the opportunity to check out anyone elses. I was wondering if anyone had tried to look back over any records to see if there had been other times when the world count was this low?

Now I am going to go look at the world map again because I have not looked in three days, after my last post.

PS Cary, just keep the dust masks handy ;). And maybe an umbrella.

There was a 3.6 earthquake here in Sudbury last Sunday. Weird because I don't ever remember there ever being an earthquake here before. But then again this is a mining town and we're used to feeling the ground move whennever they blast.

omg, the storm after the calm hit then. Nature may be un-predictable in some ways but it does seem to follow patterns throughout.

I wonder what the calm is in scientific terms when talking about the calm before the storm (not literally thunder storms here), I wonder if this is what animals pick up on, the eerie quiet and nervous apprehension before a major event.
